Semi-quantitative analysis of the number of nuclear NF-IL6 signals in the anterior lobe and the posterior lobe of the rat pituitary 2, 4, 8, 10, and 24 h after injection of 100 ug/kg LPS or 8 and 24 h after the injection of 1 mg/kg LPS compared to controls (8 h after injection of saline). A five-point scale was used to rate the data: + + + (5), high density of nuclear signals; + + (4), moderate density of nuclear signals; + (3), low density; ± (2), single nuclear signals in some cases; - (1), no nuclear signals.
