Charts showing the fold change for inflammation-related genes using either untreated WT (A) or untreated PCD mice (B) as the controls for gene expression. For genes Cox2 (with only WT as the control, A) and Il-1β, only transplanted PCD mice presented a higher expression, with the upregulation of these genes being related to neuroprotection. By contrast, NfκB and Tnf-α appeared to act as detrimental pro-inflammatory genes, as IMC transplantation reduced their expression, even reaching the levels of the WT control.
